High schoolers are engaged in the task of figuring out their identity. Who are they compared to everyone around them? They are also developing their ideology, the framework by which they will make decisions in life. Teens figure this out through relationships, through discovering new truths, and through finding what fuels their passions.
Our primary objective for our InsideOut high school program is to guide students into a personal relationship with Jesus that they can carry with them throughout their lives. The XP3 curriculum works to convey three truths to youth:
- I am created to pursue an authentic relationship with my Creator.
- I belong to Jesus Christ and define who I am by what He says.
- I exist every day to demonstrate God’s love to a broken world.
With this age group, we still play some games, but spend more time engaging in activities that promote lasting relationships. Leaders become mentors that invest in the individual students.
We know parents are still the primary influence in the lives of their teens, so we have Parent Cues available for each message series to allow more chances for discussion and connection at home, so parents and teens can learn from one another.
Is your teen ready to experience InsideOut? We currently meet in the Annex each Sunday morning during the 10am service. We can’t wait to meet you!
