Children's Ministry Director

Jackie grew up in San Antonio, and moved to the Bryan/College Station area in 2007. She is married to Albert and has three lovely daughters. In May 2014 Jackie completed a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on 4th-8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies–while raising a family and maintaining a job. Her free time, which is (a little) less elusive now, is spent with her girls, or camping, or both.

Jackie grew into ministry through her love for kids; she feels profoundly privileged to help teach the next generation what it means to love God and live your life for him. The most exciting part of children’s ministry is that moment when the lesson really clicks with a child and sticks, when it becomes obvious she has developed a real love for Jesus. And the greatest expression of that love is when a child takes the next step of baptism to declare his faith to the world.

Jackie’s dad taught her the importance of valuing people and of having a good work ethic, both principles which influence her ministry. He also helped build a strong foundation throughout her childhood, both demonstrating parental love and teaching her about God’s love. Jackie credits her father with setting the course for her life today. The best spiritual advice Jackie remembers from her father is simple:

Jesus is enough. As simple as that sounds, it is always a reminder that Jesus is enough. I don’t need anything else. I can quit worrying about everything else and know that He is enough.”
